I remember when I came up with this recipe. I was looking to create a flavor that was similar to chicken stock, tasty like animal broths, but healing the way food was meant to be. Joule soup recipes all needed a healthy, hearty base and this broth is just that. It was the broth created as part of the detox program of Joulebody Cleanse.

INGREDIENTS
- 2 sweet potatoes or yams
- 2 potatoes
- 1 beet
- 3 celery stalks
- 4 carrots sticks (medium)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 3 sprigs fresh oregano
- 1 large onion
- 1 cup red lentils
- 8 qt of filtered water
- 1 tbsp Himalayan salt
- 2 Kombu leaves
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
COOKING TIME
2.5 hours
INSTRUCTIONS
- Chop all ingredients and put into a large soup pot to boil.
- Allow to boil then cook in med-low heat for 2-hours
- Let sit on stove until cool.
- Drain all ingredients and keep the broth
- Store in container that are freezer safe
